Finding the first market for a technology that could go almost anywhere.
A Dutch pre-seed biotech company has developed a platform with several possible applications. We are helping the team turn that possibility into a clear commercial sequence.
The company is anonymous for now. This page describes the decisions and method, not confidential research or claimed results.

The technology
The platform is designed to activate medicines locally, at the right moment, using light. In principle, that creates several possible uses. Commercially, that is both promising and difficult. When a technology could go in many directions, choosing the first one becomes the most important decision.
01
Where do you start?
We compare possible applications by clinical relevance, the difference the technology could make, the route to a first user and commercial feasibility. The central question is not only whether it can work. It is whether it matters enough to change a decision.

What needs to be true?
We work backwards from decisions a pharmaceutical company, clinical expert, grant provider or investor may need to make. What must be proven? What is still uncertain? Which next test would reduce that uncertainty most?

03
Who do we need?
We map the researchers, clinical experts, development partners and commercial organisations needed to test the most important assumptions. The goal is not a long list of names. It is a short, prioritised route to better evidence.

How do we fund the next proof?
Funding follows the commercial sequence. We look for the grant that can finance the next useful proof, rather than letting an available grant determine the direction of the company.
OutputFunding roadmap
A sequence the team can act on.
- Start here.
- Prove this.
- Talk to these people.
- Use this funding to reach the next proof point.
As the evidence changes, the plan changes with it. That is commercialisation.
